There are always cotton skirts to sew. These are great for girls of all ages as even the older girls can wear them as mini skirts with leggings underneath. They require only the waist seam to be sewn and it's optional if you want to top stitch where the patterned fabric has been added. These are nice and simple to sew and I have had several teenage girls sewing these before.
